THE DAILY

We love to wear jewellery everyday – and each DÉSIR piece is designed with this in mind.

As with all jewellery, your pieces will experience some wear and tear overtime. However, to avoid unnecessary damage we suggest you follow the below advice:

  • Be careful when taking on and off your jewellery when getting ready – we usually put it on last and take it off first to keep it safe from perfumes or lotions as this can ruin the shine of your piece. Perfume, creams, and cosmetics are amazing for you, but not so much for your jewellery.
  • We only use the highest quality of materials which are designed to be durable. However, we don’t recommend wearing your jewellery while swimming, bathing, scrubbing dishes, or dealing with harsh chemicals. Try to keep your pieces away from chlorine—it can weaken the metal, making it prone to damage.
  • Try to remove jewellery before exercising, cooking, going to bed or engaging in any hands-on activities that could cause damage. Prolonged exposure to water, sweat, or friction can cause unnecessary wear.

THE WEEKLY

To ensure your diamonds and jewellery are always as bright as possible, we recommend you clean it at least once a week with a soft, lint-free cloth. All DÉSIR pieces come with a cleaning cloth – so no excuses darling. 

As they say, diamonds are forever however they can attract oils and dirt which can diminish their sparkle. For a deeper clean, we recommend soaking the pieces in warm water mixed with mild dish soap, gently scrubbed with a soft toothbrush, rinsed, and patted dry with a soft cloth. Remember to properly rinse off any detergent residue.

THE YEARLY

For the best care, we recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected annually. This will help maintain its beauty and ensure that all stones are set appropriately and none have become loose.

Storing

When you’re not wearing your jewellery, give it a place of its own.  Store your jewellery in a clean, dry spot to keep it looking its best. We suggest using individual pouches or soft-lined boxes to avoid scratches and tangles.

Each DÉSIR piece is delivered in an exquisite ring box for soft safekeeping. It isn’t just about looking pretty - your pieces deserve a home. It’s also a good habit to keep them in the same spot to ensure you don’t misplace them. Keep your jewellery away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

Repairs

Over time, settings may loosen. We suggest booking in for an annually inspection to ensure your diamonds are securely set. If you notice any movement, or something isn’t quite right, our in-house jeweller is able to cater to almost any need. Get in touch with our team to book an appointment.

Warranty

All of our pieces come with six months warranty subject to assessment by our team. Please note that this does not include damage due to wear and tear. Proof of purchase must be provided.
